Description

L: 26-28cm; W: 47-53cm;

Light brown back, grayer on the rump; underparts bluish gray and pink; wings with rufous coverts with black center; tail black with white edges; gray head and neck; black and white spots on the neck; bill and legs reddish. male with intense bluish-grey hood, nape and forehead; Salmon-pink chest. The female has a gray cap with mixed brown feathers; buff gray front; nape brown like the back; Breast color duller pink than male.
