Description
L: 32-35cm ; W: 50-55cm;
Species capable of colonizing any aquatic environment. Blackish plumage, with slate-brown back; lower tail coverts white, with the two central ones black; flank crossed by a white band; bill bright red, tipped yellow; green legs, with a red band on the tibia. Juveniles olive brown, with white on the throat and greyish abdomen; greenish-brown bill.
