Description
L: 14-16cm; W:23-26cm; General brown coloured, with brown back and pale underparts. Male with chestnut crown and back of neck, throat and chest with a black colour that extends striped on the flanks. Female with a robust bill, broad supercilium both before and behind the eye, and pale cream coloured, dark grey ear-coverts, faintly streaked on chest and flanks. Juveniles are very similar to females but with new plumage.
