Description

L: 32-34cm; W: 63-69cm;

Adults have a bluish gray general coloration, with a striking greenish and purple tone on the neck, without white on the wing or on the rump; wing with two black stripes near rear edge; gray tail with two terminal bars; red legs, red bill with yellow at the tip. Male with bluish gray mantle, tertials and scapulars. Female with grey-brown mantle, tertials and scapulars; Brown juveniles, without metallic reflections on the neck.
