Description

L: 18cm, W: 33cm.

The bird has a dark metallic blue colour on the upper part; chestnut-red forehead and throat, pale underparts, a forked tail, and very long outer tail feathers. Both sexes with very similar plumage, although females have paler plumage and shorter tails. They build their nests of mud and shelter in human constructions.
