Description

L:13-14cm ;W: 19-21cm.

Inconspicuous bird in colours, it has a bluish-grey head and underparts, brown auriculars with dark stripes, a chestnut-coloured back with black streaks and greater coverts with white tips. There are very subtle differences between the sexes; the male usually has more intense grey on the head and throat than the female. The juvenile has a very marked striation.
