Description

L: 13cm; W:20-23cm;

Bird of discreet plumage, which presents a back with grey tones and light brown underparts; the back is greyer in the case of the male. The characteristic crown above the eyes is black in the male and reddish-brown in the female. Both sexes have a white-less tail. Juveniles are similar to females but with dark grey-brown iris, pale brown crown, and fresh plumage.
