Description
L: 11.5cm; W:17-20cm;
Bird with black upperparts and whitish underparts, black throat, head with pale cheeks, and black eye stripe; crown with a crest of black feathers edged with white, reddish iris and black chin. Sex with similar plumage. Juveniles with short crest, grey-brown irises, and pointed tail feathers.
