Description
L: 20cm; W:32-34cm; This shrike has a grey back, pink tinge underparts; grey head, with a black mask that goes up on front; dark wing with a white spot at the base of primaries. The beak is very thick and less hooked than other species of shrike. Both sexes are similar. Juveniles with dark crown and mantle finely barred and no black on the forehead.
