Small, inconspicuous bird with greenish upperparts and yellowish tinge; yellow eyebrow and cheeks; yellow throat and chest; white belly; robust bill and dark legs. The contrast between the yellow eyebrow, throat and chest with the white belly makes this species different from the rest of the chiffchaffs
