Description
L: 17cm; W:25cm;
Yellowish plumage on the underparts; olive-brown in the upper ones; long tail, brown edged with white; dark legs. In breeding plumage, there is a wide variety of patterns on the male’s head, given the existence of a large number of subspecies that can hybridize, the most common being the grey-blue colour on the crown, white eyebrow, and bright yellow underparts. Females and juveniles are paler, with grey-brown crowns; the line above the eye is pale white; with dark spots on the chest.
