Description
L: 31-36cm W: 71-85cm.
One of the most striking birds of prey in Spain. Adult with pale head; gray upperparts and white underparts; gray wings with black wing band; highlight its impressive eyes with red iris enhanced by the eyebrow and black mask. Both sexes are similar. Juveniles have a white-speckled back and a nice reddish crown and breast, the tips of the aula feathers and coverts white.
