Description
L: 17-19cm; W: 33-37cm;
Small bird that inhabits wetlands with abundant vegetation. It has reddish brown upperparts, streaked with black and with white spots; forehead bluish gray; blackish brown wings, with white spots on the coverts and scapulars; light gray throat; slate gray underparts; flank and undertail coverts barred black and white; bill short and greenish. Juveniles lack the bluish gray hues of adults.
