Description

L: 14-16cm; W:24.5-28.5cm;

Species with different plumage between both sexes. Male has grey crown and neck; pink chest and cheeks, and black forehead and bill; in winter, the colours appear attenuated. The female has a discreet brown colour with a grey crown and chest. Both sexes have white on the wing, shoulders, and tail. Juveniles are similar in appearance to females but can be recognized by their new plumage.
