Description
L:70-80cm; W: 125-135cm;
Inhabitant of reedbeds, with very mimetic colors, with a brown back with a golden tint and strongly striped; yellowish brown underparts; black hood and whiskers; Bill greenish yellow. Both sexes have similar plumage. Juveniles: with a pattern reminiscent of the adult but the black of the cap tinged with brown and smaller, generally without reaching the nape; brown moustache; mantle and scapular feathers heavily mottled and vermiculated; outer primaries narrow and pointed.
