Description
L: 13-14cm W: 25-30cm.
Elongated beak and a straight lower mandible; similar to the short-eared terrestrial, dark brown striped and white underparts, mottled chest and no spots. Similar plumage in both sexes. Juvenile feathers have whitish rims.
