Descripción

L: 55-60cm; W: 130-155cm.

Brown-backed bird; striped reddish brown underparts; clear crown streaked with black; Wings dark brown, with a diffuse dark spot at the base of the primaries; barred chestnut tail; black beak and yellow cere. Both sexes have similar plumage. Juveniles have numerous spots on the chest and wings.
