Description
L:35-39cm ; W: 54-60cm;
Medium-Siced bird, grayish brown on the back, dotted with white spots, like the wing; ventral area whitish, with a dark mask, ocher-yellowish throat. It sports a silver-grey hood with a crest of the same color and a red eye ring. Chocolate brown juveniles with abundant white spots on the back and white ventral part, which turn ocher-yellow on the chest and neck, black crown and eye ring more conspicuous than that of adults.
