Description
L: 15cm; W:26cm;
Olive-brown back, heavily striated with dark streaking; whitish chest with narrower stripes on flanks than on chest; Bill somewhat thicker than other pipits, pinkish at the base; The eyering is narrow and is interrupted by the dark-coloured flanges; outer tail feathers with white patch; pale legs with short curved nails. Both sexes are similar in plumage. Juveniles are similar to adults but with fresh plumage.
