Description
L: 11cm; W:16-17cm;
Very small bird, with conical and pointed beak and short wings; with an intense chestnut-scented upperpart and paler underparts, grey head (brown in winter), dark band on the cheeks that covers the eye and meets on the forehead like a mask. Both sexes are very similar, the female with paler colours. Juveniles lack the mask.
