Description

L 25-28cm. W: 44-48 cm.

Brown back, with black and white transverse stripes; pinkish-wine chest, with white underparts; fawn-coloured head with a pinkish crest tipped with black and white; black wings and tail with white stripes; long curved bill. Although both sexes are very similar, the male has a more intense orange colour on the chest.
