Description

L: 40-44cm; W: 77-85 cm;

MediuMar-Sepized bird with sandy-toned plumage, with a large, bright yellow eye framed by two white lines; yellow bill with black tip and yellow legs; wings brown, with two white bands; White wings below, with black tips of the remiges and a “comma” on the primary coverts. Both sexes are similar in plumage and measurements. Juveniles with fresh plumage; greater coverts with broad white band on tip
