Description

L: 20,5-24 cm; W:57-64 cm;

This uncommon bird is only present when migrating. During breeding, the female plumage stands out more conspicuously than the male. Ocher lower chest and black belly in breeding plumage, grey in winter plumage; at any time, a white line crosses the chest. Light coloured eyebrow; wings without a light band; yellow legs. Gray juveniles are like adults in winter plumage.
