Description
L:26-31cm; W: 66-72cm;
Raptor with pointed wings and long tail, with a black band near the end; light nails; back brown, mottled only in female; light ocher underparts, speckled with dark; gray head and tail without streaks in the male, more ocher and streaked in the female and juveniles; outermost primary longer than 7th.Adult male with gray head, without streaks; tail, uppertail coverts and rump uniformly grey, without barring; ocher back without spots and bluish stripe on the wings. Adult female with ribbed head; tail barred and with a grayish tint; back and upper wing coverts mottled.
