Description
L: 37-41cm; W: 60-63 cm;
Rare Anatidae linked to wetlands with abundant marshy vegetation. In male breeding plumage with wide white eyebrow that reaches the nape; head and chest mottled dark brown; gray flank; white abdomen; long, black and white scapulars; little bright green eyeglass, bordered with white. Striped brown female; greenish brown speck; gray wing coverts; gray beak.
